Yep. He got that dog in him, can score on all levels, post up, switch to guard 3 or 4 positions on defense, and create for others. Also can play off ball effectively. You can probably fit just about any type of player alongside him and it will work because of the versatility of his game. Bu...but...but athleticism. Goofball ass wannabe scouts:russ:
The silliest one had to be dude That said Cade didn’t have alpha Athleticism and would have to rely on his basketball skills :pachaha:

Changing my mind about dealing Grant. Quality vet that wants to be here. Elite 3 and D guy. Just keep him at this point, but play him at SF next year. Draft starting PF in draft. Have Bey be sixth man. Overpay for PG and C in FA

Brunson or Sexton
Cade
Grant
Bachero/Smith/Holmgren
M Robinson or Mamba or bring Drummond back:sadcam:

Bey, Stewart, Hayes, Olynk, Diallo

Brunson- Vet pg that can already play with a ball dominant player like Luka. Good shooter. Sexton gets buckets

Robinson- Big shoot blocker, rim runner with size. Mamba finally showing potential in Orl. Drummond is the pnr big Cade needs

Smith probably number 1 pick. Most upside

Outside of his weight i would put Chet as second best prospect in draft. Have no clue if he’s capable of adding weight/strength but his skill set is ideal for Pistons current roster

Not biggest Banchero fan but can’t deny physical gifts and potential. Pistons Blake peak but could realistically be another John Collins which isnt bad

Bored at work :manny:

I'm just about in agreeance with all this with the exception of Sexton. Just don't like his play style of he's not being used as a Lou Williams/Jordan Clarkson type. Unless he understands that's his role I don't like the fit. I do wanna see somebody that can also run the offense next to Cade so that they can facilitate when Cade needs to go into scoring mode to set him up too. I really like Brunson.

With Grant, if they're gonna get bullshyt back, meaning anything less than a first Rd pick and a quality young prospect, then I think I'd rather they keep him too. I don't think he fits well either if he wants to continue to be a ball stopper, but if he recognizes the guys are playing better since he went out and can share the load them he can be a plus in Cade's development (which ultimately it's all that matters for the growth of the team).

And I'm coming around on Chet. The goal is Jabari. Ivey is interesting for a truly dynamic backcourt, but size, defense and rebounding is what's seriously lacking on this team. Chet's skillet is perfect for what's needed. If he could build up to Gobert size I would have no questions, but his frame just doesn't look like he can carry much weight. Paulo I'm not as high on cause I don't see the defensive potential and do see more John Collins than anything, but he could still work here. It's all going to help because it boost our talent base. I just wanna see it maximized with players that compliment each other. That's how Golden State became a powerhouse (and a sprinkle of Durant :troll:).

I don’t want sexton
Brunson might need 4/80+ to come here.

I don’t want Colin sexton because he’s too little and he isn’t a good enough shooter or passer imo to play next to Cade. I’d rather have brunson on a good deal if possible. Or Norman Powell type of 3-d wing who won’t be personality clashing with Cade. Bamba cool but I don’t want to pay big money for a big that is out of a rookie deal who has yet to prove he can be consistent or anchor a defense wel. Part of that is Orlando but even Vucci got them to the playoffs once or twice with dj augustin as his pg. I’m fine keeping Grant but Grant and Bey make each other redundant because Bey is best at the four and so is Grant. Robinson? I don’t hate but if we can draft a big who is cheaper for longer and can get better idk why we pay for Robinson. Only big is sign for a lot of money is Ayton. He is the perfect big right now for what we need but I doubt he leaves the suns.

mid be fine with John Collins but we aren’t a play in team with just him and a top five pick added. We need more shooters, we need consistent bigs who can not be out rebounded or murdered in the paint. What’s sad is Andre Drummond on a decent deal would have feasted with Cade and Killian passing off the pick n roll and he would lead the league in boards.

Bigs I'm interested in: Mitch Robinson, Bagley, Bamba
Bigs that arent realistic: Ayton, Nurkic
Bigs that are realistic that I don't necessarily want: Thomas Bryant, Drummond

  • @djthegreat88 You mentioned Drummond as the pnr big cade needs but we both know his issue was deep rooted in who he is as a person and who he is as a person is the complete opposite of what Troy is trying to do here. Trust me, i've made similar comments until i remembered how much of a child he becomes and how bad his iq gets. Keep him far away from what is being built here. I know Mitchell may have similar iq concerns but he and Andre are not alike.
  • Miles Bridges is a x factor this summer and I'm not convinced Charlotte is ready to bag him yet with the roster and contracts they have. I have to see what they do with Gordon first.
  • I can see a world where Sexton is a multi year 6moty candidate. If he accepts his role and who he can be combined with his tenacity, it literally screams detroit basketball. Coming off the injury i can see a 3 year deal where the asking price isn't ridiculous.
In the same breath I see Brunson being similar but with higher IQ. But I'm not in the least bit interested in giving 20 mill to a midget who can't go off at any given moment. He's a luxury piece that a team further along can pay. Would be an absolute horrible decision at that price during this rebuild.

Also, Killian is averaging 8 and 7 assists since coming off the bench. . I would only add him in a Jerami deal if it makes sense but although he was the 7th pick and not showing he was worth going 7, i think hed be very good in the backup role. With Cade and Bey emerging, along with a probable top 3 pick and some summer moves, Killian doesn't NEED to score. His passing is elite and defense makes him worth holding on to.
