Good to see they back playing hard like last season. The talent level may not be there but you ain’t bout to sleepwalk thru Detroit and get a win. You gonna have to earn it on most nights.
Thing is the talent isn’t awful
Hami is good when he hustles and plays locked in defense. Frank Jackson has hot streaks. Josh is a mix between both. Killian is solid outside of trying to score any way outside of catch and shoot situations. Jerami is like the best versions of Hami and Josh when he isn’t trying to play like Carmelo Anthony and is in the flow of an offense. Bey has been off but is a sniper you can’t leave open who also is trying to muster a Carmelo/Kobe iso game out of nowhere. Beef Stew plays above his height as long as he isn’t in foul trouble. Kelly would get burn on any team as a borderline starter to 7th man who can score and pass. Corey Jo is a serviceable back up point. Cade is a stud but still is a rookie. We aren’t a playoff or play in team yet but if things work out they look competitive and get another top five pick and maybe aim for one of these free agents like Ayton lord willing or swing for a trade with some of what they already have

All these good things you Said about those players there’s another side too. Which is why they aren’t somewhere starting. Casey knows how to get these dudes to play hard which makes up for not being the most talented. But when the other team lock in they usually gonna overtake them. Like the lakers did and like Miami is probably going to do tonight.

4th quarters are a problem
They're a problem because in the league niccas start playing defense for real come the 4th and Cade isn't even close to being ready...so you're relying on a role player (Grant) to get buckets and create offense.

That 3 pointer Cade took with like 4 minutes left was sickening...this nicca essentially came down on some "my turn" shyt and took a quick, wild ass step back 3 when the game was still in the balance. You just can't do that at this level...it's not winning basketball.

Especially when you shooting bellow 34 percent so far this season from there. It’s alright though. We missing three starter caliber players who usually get 25 minutes a game. Miami and Herro never were gone

Might be changing my mind about Chet Holgrem though :patrice:

Skill wise he’s special. Just that frame. Maybe he could get Tayshaun Prince wirey strong. Him and Stewart upfront could work :jbhmm:
