With both now in AEW, who’s career would you rather have, Matt Hardy, or Christian?

Christian for a lot of the reasons people posted, especially the parts about him being generally in better health that Matt, and I feel even in 2021 can put on a standout match. Matt Hardy hasn’t been able bend his knees much since probably 2012. I will say though, that the Matt Hardy V1 character >>>> any Christian solo character. Matt also re-ignited his character with the Broken stuff, and honestly is the reason that cinematic matches take place today. And had it not been for the Broken Universe stuff, the attention would’ve never gotten back on the Hardy Boyz for the WWE to want them back. Jeff has always been the most popular, but the Broken Universe lead them to want to put faith in Jeff again after years of shyt he’d been doing. So basically, Matt solo wise probably has the better legacy than Christian, but Christian can still be valuable in the ring today and has none of the public Ls Matt Hardy has.

Vince really did just keep the two from E&C/HB that they saw anything in and bush the other two for their whole careers.

Keeping that in mind, I can't see any way you don't go Christian considering the Ls Matt has taken publicly, and like... ya know... nearly splattering his fukking brain on the concrete wrestling Sammy goddamned Guevara of all people. That being said, I am happy for the turnaround Matt has had for himself, and while I wouldn't want his career, I think every one of us at some point could use some of his rebound, if nothing else. Props to the breh for making what he has out of what feeble in comparison he began with.

Honestly, I'd take Matt's life/career over Jeff's, if we really talmbout it :yeshrug: But of the two, yeah... Christian easy. Depending on how his run in AEW goes... dude could manage to backdoor his way into WWE, TNA and AEW HoFs by the end of his career, despite always being seen as Edge's also-ran. Only other person even in conversation to pull that off right now would be Sting. That's not bad company.

You could argue Christian’s TNA run was better than anything Matt ever did as a singles competitor. Not to mention him finally winning the WHC in 2011.

Christian's TNA run was very good. I don't think he's an all time GOAT but his TNA run was definetely very good and above anything Hardy did solo.

Both have had solid careers.

I'm going with Christian though.
Better singles run in TNA & WWE.

Christian by default.

I never cared about Christian after him and Edge went solo.
he was kind of cheesy and considering he was calling himself Captain Charisma, he never had much to me but he never bothered me.

now, Matt Hardy is awful in every way. never liked him
that "delete" shyt is some of the worst, most cringeworthy stuff I've seen and thats saying a lot considering its wrestling we're talking about here.

So Cal
:beli: Christan easily.

Nobody cared about Matt like that until the broken shyt. nikka was a joke for a good portion of his career, he had a good comeback though.

Christian got heavyweight titles in multiple promotions, was the better wrestler, didn't become a drug addicted slob, wasn't getting fired from multiple promotions.

christian easily. he even surpassed his tag partner in the eyes of non-marks.

funny thing is, christian is what matt hardy was supposed to be.
if matt didnt back out of the TNA deal in '04, just to go back and be used as a pawn to get Edge over, this may be more of a debate.
christian did the opposite and jumped to TNA when he was red hot, and the rest is history.

only thing you can say is that matt put in alot of work the past decade while christian has been on the shelf for 6-7 years.
