I've been peeping it lately on Amazon Instant Videos. It's pretty dope but the episodes on Amazon were mad short 7-12 minute episodes? Is that how it was when it aired on BET? I wish it was a lot longer at least 30 minutes.

It was good shyt. It should convince everyone that a Black Panther film would work.

Actually BET did fukk it up. BET aired the show after midnight instead of during prime time. But I sorta understand why BET did that. The show doesn't fit BET's line-up at all (other than most of the characters being black). The show would've had more success if it had aired on Adult Swim instead of BET.

Yeah, airing on Adult Swim would've allowed it to reach a larger audience.

Marvel released the Essential Black Panther vol 1 earlier this year

On the DVD Set, it has six 30 minutes (20-23 minutes with commercials).

link up the comments in canada its mostly positive

Here's some of the ones that stood out to me:

I like Black Panther, but this is not what I expected. It has lots of not so subtle slanders and prejudices has a Condi Rice character planning a takeover of an African country for no reason. Claims America doesnt cure cancer just to make money off the dying. Each of the villains is from countries that had colonized in Africa England, France, and Belgium and American villain. The English villain is a zealous Roman Catholic killing Africans to spread Christianity. Oh ya, Christianity is pretty much Satanism as represented by the villain in this cartoon. One villain is a white hooker possessed by another evil crook (White She-Devil thinking here). The USA is pretty much the worst of all villains in this cartoon. The USA literally creates zombies from dead American soldiers from our other current wars to invade a non-aggressive African country. The graphics are fun and the show is pretty entertaining, but come on....the underlining content is pretty irresponsible stuff.

As a fan of most everything Marvel I was disappointed in this series. I felt the animation was fine but the story line was unsuitable for anyone other than an adult. Riddled with borderline racist social commentary it fails to achieve what "heroes" are meant to do, bring us together, whether real or imaginary. In addition to this it continually targets every imaginary evil that supposedly targets the "Black" community; Big Oil, Pharmaceutical companies, Mining companies, etc. This is nothing more than liberal drivel and I am not suprised that it failed as a series.

Ive been a fan of the Black Panther comics for quite some time, mostly because of the intelligent potrayal of an African character that does not fall back on me black man, me hate whitey kind of story lines. This animated feature flies in the face of that. The white characters were portrayed as racist morons and, most distubingly, so were the African characters

This is the motion comic equivalent of a youtube comment thread. Marvel should be ashamed to have the cretin who wrote it have anything to do with them. Finally a comic book series that Malcolm X and Elijah Muhammed would be proud of! Im pretty amazed at how many people gave this turd a 5 star rating... or who though it was nuanced or sophisticated at all. This is pretty much the super hero fantasy of a conspiratorial ultra-leftist black nationalist. Black Panther is the ubermench here who leads a nation of perfect people (except for being completely xenophobic, racist and isolationist). They are so wise and so technologically advanced! They are spiritual in that most attractive, non specific feel good way, and are gods among men walking the earth. Oh and dont forget that theyre completely eco friendly. Philosophically, (I know it sounds tired but its the truth) the only difference between the Wakanda presented here and National Socialist Germany is the antisemitism. I would gladly poop razorblades for a week if I could erase the memory of this thing from my head. That stuff aside, I liked the art.

While it was mildly entertaining and at times had great comedy, I can't help but feel sad that this is yet again another misuse of the Black Panther. Leave it to BET to make every white character a hypocrite, racist, or money hungry

This was terrible. I get tired of some animators, who any artist who are trying to be different and artistic just for that sake. the animation comes off very lazy. it doesnt work and makes you feel your watching a samurai jack wannabe show. The real tragedy is the message this show is portraying. Im trying to watch this show with my son, because I love the Black Panther, who from the comics fights with Capt America and destroys crime and corruption in Africa (one of the most real missions of any super hero), but no, this show is about showing how America is corrupt, Christianity is a joke, and they are the real evils in the world. If you believe that and are one of Bill Mahers 6 devoted and deranged viewers, you may enjoy this

Anti-American and it portrays racist stereotypes. Rather disappointing in the fact that Stan Lee voiced the racist white general right off the bat. I understand that the anti-American sentiment pervades most of the entertainment media culture but please, but how but producing an entertaining show that does not involve trying to push one political agenda over another.

:pachaha: @ these sensitive ass white folks.
