I think it's exaggeration to say he doesn't know how to play organized ball, he might have been better in a low pressure situation, but it was clearly a "let's be the smartest in the room" pick, and influenced by the pre-draft media.

I do think they would have gotten Ant at 1, but not considering Melo at 2 was clearly a mistake.

Have you seen him play? He had no awareness on either end, cannot catch, has no offensive game. The pure definition of raw physical talent with potential. I didn’t think it would be this bad. But drafting him at that spot and expecting him to be a major contributer to a team on the tail end of its title window was foolish.
