This kid Nate Mcbride is 210. He isn't that big. Male sprinters will tip the scales at over 200 because they are solid. Muscle! They are built for performance.
If you were talking about 250+ lbs, I could see it, but no, man. Being below 200lbs will usually mean the guy is under 5'10. All the guys you listed are 6 foot to 6'4.
Running technique and training regimen are how they are so fast, as being 200 doesn't suddenly feel like having a parachute on your back when you are running.
Elite athletes bulk up. This isn't even talking about NFL or anything like that, sprinters are fukking huge guys. The hypertrophy they experience just sprinting alone
means they will have far above average sized legs. Add in a good training regiment, and 200lb lean guys look bigger than they really are. I promise you, hit a track
meet and watch the size of the fastest guys. They get big for a very specific reason, and it does not hurt them one bit.
