I've caught hate for being darkskin, even had a guy specifically turn me down cause of it(his mom didnt want dark grand babies). But then i've had dudes be obsessed over it to. I can't imagine my skin being anything other than what it is and i love it, as matter of fact i wish it wasn't raining so much down here so i can get a nice deep tan. Im getting pale, my boobs are super light right now

Like another poster said earlier, I grew up a military brat and didn't have the opportunity to hang with a decent population of black people until I was older. Being darkskin when just about everyone in your family is light/brown and lightskin I didn't even think twice about it until I got around my relatives that brought stuff like that up. College was a real eye opener that this DS/LS stuff is actually really pervasive in our community. Had some homeboys that were on that steeze to in college when it comes to dark girls, I just never understood why
