the black community is the least ignorant community about colorism on the planet. Indians create whole caste systems based on skin color, hell they INVENTED lightening cream. They use to have laws where a dark person couldn't even step in a light skin person's shadow. Asians back in ancient times saw light skin people as rich nobles and dark skin people as poor farmers fit for labor. That mentality is still prevalent over there with their women worshipping cacs and their animes/video games using blonde haired and blue eyed main characters. Cacs demonized dark skin on a WORLDWIDE level and created racist black face characters of dark skin people.

Talib Kweli be speaking that African Princess stuff in his songs, but white girls are the only females that show up to his shows. It's good music out there that's uplifting y'all, but you hoes just don't want it. Stats show that Independent music has a stigma of being "Lame, cheap, unpopular, etc." with black women and black women make a VERY tiny percentage of independent record sales.
