The article is 3 years old and it does not say what the OP claims that it says.

I just linked the demographics for Black marriages as of 2014. 86% percent of Black men are married to Black women. That only leaves 14% that are not married to Black women; not 25% that OP claims.

Just reading the article it is clear that Black people are one of the few ethnic groups that usually does not marry outside of their immediate group. The numbers between Black men and Black women are even skewed, because Black Demographics numbers show that there are 364,000 more married Black men than there are married Black women. So Black men overwhelmingly marry Black women.

Math is a pain in the ass.

Of course it's 86% are married to black women older generations rarely married out and they are more likely to get married.
