I didn't mean to insult IT as a whole. Or all people who work in IT.

And I really admire you for being a developer. Programming is NOT easy.

In my current location, I see H1B visas flooding the market and pricing US citizens out of IT jobs. So unless someone is going to work for the Feds where US citizenship is required, they could be getting squeezed out.

I agree with all you said but the real men part. I think each and every one of us men on here or anywhere are real. There should be no definition of this. I will say, if you want greatness in your life even if you don't have it at the moment, you should never be dejected by an opinion, especially a realistic one such as you wrote. Just strive for more and let your actions do the talking.

I take that as a no. The directions were clear: I'll ask and you'll have the opportunity to answer . There are more than a few people here who know that I study ChemE so I have nothing to prove, especially to someone who thinks having a STEM makes one better than everyone else.

I agree...by the way I was not calling you an educated fool. I was saying that in general I noticed that there are a lot of degree holders running rampant who like to refer to themselves as intellectuals/intelligent. The sad part is that many of them come off as condescending, annoying,rude, or just plain stupid without realizing it . I mostly see this trait in women. In my experience I rarely see men brag about their degrees. The few times that I have it has been by White and Asian men. The white guy goes to Harvard and has said some of the most disgusting things about black people. For the life of me, I could not stand him.

Only fair too post this. Who knows,what is truth or isn't? The thing is the victors always write the history so we shall never know. And I remember reading in a book long ago, about several Black US army soldiers who were captured by the SS no less. When those soldiers saw the skull and crossbones on the uniforms they thought if they were lucky they would get a bullet in the head. Yet , they were brought hot food questioned but not harmed. And those soldiers said those white men in ss uniforms treated them better than how they were treated back in america by white people,talked to them as fellow soldiers . They were then sent to german farms to do manual labour until the end of the war,which was standard practice under the geneva convention for soldiers who were not officers. They said the germans on the farms treated them better than the other white pow's there.
