Your trying to look to deep into it. People get married for a multitude of reasons let alone interracial couples. My point is their has to be a certain level of empathy for the struggles a black man goes through, in order for a white women to commit herself to him in this way, and vice versa for black women. Does that mean that are automatically assumed to not be inherently racisit, or still slightly bigoted...no. Bottom line is the percentages of Black Men and White Women married has statistically risen based on the article, and the OP initiated discussion as to why...so the question you have to answer is why?

You keep harping on white women and black men, as if thats the only demographic that constitutes interracial marriage. Black men are also marrying other ethnicities that experience racism as well, so are you saying that they are less likely to be empathic too?

Your focus on the black/white issue is too isolated. The article states Interracial marriage is at a all time high in general across the board, and as it pertains to the black man, my inital point still remains, its no longer considered taboo, and some women outside the Black community who marry within are acknowledging the struggles their counterparts go through, and accept those truths going in.

A lot of black girls are very suspicious and mistrustful of men. And I'm talking bout bw in america of any black ethnicity.

Hell Ive had plenty of girls starring me down with wide eyes, and I'd try to step to em respectfully Only for them to hit me with the or act highly standoff ish and pull their phone out. And that's only the tip of the ice berg when dealing with alot of black chicks out here.

Its real weird. That why I see why so many men don't cold approach.

Other races will at least show some cooperation if they are interested and you can have a nice conversation wit em. Even on a platonic level. It's easier to break the ice with em. Black woman bc of their circumstances it's a MFer tryna break the ice with them if youre a regular guy unless you have a certain persona or you're a degree or two separated from em.

Tbh I think it has to do with the fact that they come from more intact communities and don't always feel the need to be so.......harsh. I honestly don't think a lot of black women respect black men. And I see where they're coming from tbh bc a lot of bw. Have been done wrong by BM and don't trust BM etc etc.

I would say the knee jerk reply of black men taking responsibility of their neighborhoods and their image creating strong vibrant neighborhoods with jobs etc etc and black women are taken care of but I doubt that'll ever happen.

That 24% will only grow larger as time goes on esp with more blacks living in the burbs and with all these white washed teenagers running around all lost and confused.
