I liked both but did you check "Lost and Found"? This is his last album, came out around the same time as his movie "Hitch". This album is really really good, for real, probably his best album lyrically.
The thing about late 80s/early 90s rappers is that they came up at a time when being able to perform live was an integral part of an emcee's skillset. So most of them are still able to kill a live show in a way that a lot of the newer generations can't

don't see how anyone could hate that man. he's been consistent in who he is since he came out.
Not only the cussing, but he also said he thought gangsta rap was the worst music he'd ever heard in his life. He said this on one of them MTV Kurt Loder-type specials on hip hop or whatever in like the early 2000's...that didn't help his standing amongst the hip hop gangstas/hip hop gangsta loving fans, lol.I never had a problem with Will's music. Enjoyed the Big Willie Style era of his career. Even liked the "Wild Wild West" song with Dru Hill, although I haven't listened to or heard that song since 1999. Will Smith was hated because he was everything thqt many in Hip Hop at the time was against: he was on that jiggy style of rap, wasn't using profanity, and sold like 9 million copies while doing it. Then he made the statement that he didn't have to cuss to sell 9 million copies. That rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, so when Eminem said the Will Smith line, nobody came at him because many felt Will was dissing pretty much every rapper with his statement. Will caught hate from his peers for something he should've been applauded and celebrated for, but when he made a point out of not using profanity, it came off the wrong way.
Easily his best song. Hip Hop's eternal L is letting Eminem shyt on Will Smith on that song. That always bothered me that people didn't push back in a meaningful way.
