It's weird for him to say such a thing openly but I'm not exactly mad about it. That's the kind of thing that someone would divulge to a close friend, but it makes sense.

You can be objectively better than someone while being jealous of certain traits that they have.

As much as this makes Will look beta and an attention whore, this is really the first major step of black men talking about the trauma of the harsh realities of The Crack era of the 80s/90s and how much of the black community hated black men that weren't some raging hyper masculine stereotype. Its an eye-opener how in the early 2020s, black men from that era are FINALLY facing those demons head-on, decades after it happened.

People want to forget, or don't seem to understand that that era was the birth of the single moms from low-low middle class homes getting busted in and abandoned/absent father era that folks in their mid 20's to 30's had to deal with.

Literally had people from upwardly mobile families drop their net worth to zero.

Growing up in the 80s, 90s, and early 00s was a major trauma induced lesson. Wasn't till the mid 00s when the black male image FINALLY broken away from ignorance and negativity of the street life.

Pretty much agree with this. It's amazing how so many people tryna shyt on him for actually trying to show his own humanity via exposing his old worries and insecurities he had through his life and career yet you got brehs on here bout "hEs A bEtA sImP". What Will is talking about with regards to feeling less of a man and being intimidated by Tupac's thug persona (which, despite what Tupac stans on here believe, has been exposed by many people that actually knew him and been around him before and after his identity switch, for all intents and purposes was an act. He joined a gang in his mid 20s and beat up his step brother to impress Suge and his new 'friends') isn't too uncommon from the regular 9-5 working black man. He's exposing the toxic aspect of black masculinity in that it's hard for some of our women to see manliness as anything other than that gangster persona

If we read between the lines, Will is speaking about a larger issue within the Black community where aggression and violence are so deeply embedded in Black masculinity. Pac was an extremely intelligent dude who like most rappers is heavily favored for his wild, brash and reckless moments.
Will wasn’t jealous of Pac’s success, Will was jealous of Pac’s public perception. The idea that he was “soft” because he didn’t naturally behave a certain way, which I assume may have been a talking point amongst his peers including Jada.

Pac's "Thug Life" was a massive, massive interpretation where breh s threw away they lives and never truly studied the meaning of true black power. There is a difference in being pro black and pro-street life, but people who follow Pac denounce the black power philosophy, and embrace the negativity. Its truth, and the truth hurts, both the individual and the community.

He never denounced anything.

He wrote the THUG LIFE handbook with Mutulu.

You think Mutulu would fukk with Pac if he "denounced" Black power?

Hell, Pac had tons of ex-Panthers and revolutionaries around him until he died.

Yaki Kadafi's mom was a Panther and was around Pac to the end too.
*Two cops that he didn't even know were cops because they were off duty:comeon:

So:mindblown:

How many nikkaz see to CACs harassing a Black man and stops the car and bust shots at them?:aicmon:
