No, he hasn't. All he does is yell and call somebody a bytch.

They should just have him do what he did the night after Mania 33. It was short, sweet, and it got a huge reaction.

But of course, "less is more" is a foreign concept to WWE. :francis:
Still remember after Wrestlemania 32 excluding "I'm not a good guy, I'm not a bad guy.....I'm the guy :troll: line" When Sami Zayn came out to try and challenge Reigns....dude looked at him like :mjlol::childplease: like "Who's man is this" that could've been the start of the smug heel Roman...could've done that last year but nope.

This Alvarez rant still holds up today

:dead:Didn't breh take acting classes a few years back to try & improve his mic skills

I think the worst part of his promos, whether scripted or improvised is when he talks to the crowd like they fukk with him and it backfires everytime :dead:

Alvarez had it right the first time. They kept trying to make him an underdog, stacking the deck against him before he'd even built up that kind of goodwill or gained that investment from the audience. It was too on the nose from creative/booking.

The most important part is simply that they have him talk way too much. He doesn't need to talk loads. Braun originally didn't talk that much and even now that he does, he doesn't say anything overly complex or pandering other than "get these hands". Roman isn't a great talker, that isn't his strength. If he just talked less from the start, he'd have fared a bit better and people wouldn't still be talking about "sufferin' succotash" and "tater tots". The best promos he's cut are the shorter ones - save for one recently on Brock and even that was :ehh: rather than :krs:. In fact, my absolute favorite promo of his consists of 5 words: "This is my yard now".

I don't buy that Roman's a bad wrestler like some people say and I definitely don't buy into the intense hatred of him (I actually like Roman, even now). IMO, he was a lay-up, as Alvarez himself points out. He could easily have gotten over (at one point, he really was over as a face before his hernia injury). But they fukked it up by trying to make him the "ideal" babyface instead of just doing what he was already doing.

The Uso came out if nowhere putting on great promos. I just think Roman still need time. It really takes about 10 years to start hitting all cylinder in this business.

Kind of crazy if you think about it... Prowrestling is probably the hardest and slowest performance art to hone in your skills and become dominate.

He can get better but he'll never be great.

Either you have it or you don't and he doesn't have it.

Like I can put all the work into I want and I'll never be a good actor, I just don't have the talent. Same thing with mic work.

He's getting better to me. He's nowhere near as bad as he was in 2014/2015. But like everyone's said, he doesn't need to talk so much. The problem is they want him to be the John Cena-type face when he should be more of the Stone Cold-type face. He just needs to get in the ring, kick ass, take names, and put the fear of God in you if you even look at him funny. He doesn't need to cut promos for that. :yeshrug:

i bet the usos have more freedom in their promos than roman
Him or the Usos arent good at improvision... USOs are much better than what they used to be though. Ambrose would eat Roman alive on the mic as a heel. Miz has clowned the shyt out of Roman and Cena at the same time.

Bryan thinks along the lines that a GM shouldnt take over the show and he let Miz, Owens, and AJ get the last word on him but we all know he has the authentic connection where he just speaks off top and it will always work.

Austin was a great talker though

This is the issue. Creative gave them freedom to find their own style that works for them.
