Modern day Egyptians themselves now are whitewashed because of so many invasions from them non nubian regions.
No, because they (Upper Egyptians, mainly in Cairo) are foreign, not mixed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_conquest_of_the_Maghreb

No one barely even bats an eye at this bullshyt
most black people don't bat an eye either...that's how lost we are. Most of us (outside of the Coli) believe this story is pretty accurate
There is definitely more awareness in the younger generations (25 and down).
if you say so
Nah, I know just how real and dangerous the specter of White Supremacy actually is. However I'm totally jaded by the notion that we should just sit around and b!tch until they agree to stop with the white power portrayals of history.I think you are too lighthearted about it being 'just a movie' and that more and more people know this is BS. Most people don't know its bs and that is the problem. It has a very real effect on society and its mind set. The propaganda works very well on our minds
Hollywood's power all comes from the thousands of cinemas across the US. Its about distribution..the number of cinemas that will screen a movie determines how much it'll make. Distribution issues is why the Jooz control all our music, and there are few Black distributors if any though we create everything.
Naturally under these circumstances, Blacks would call for an alternate Black hollywood to serve Black interests in film. Thats fine and dandy, but we'd need to get our films in those thousands of cinemas and thats where they get you.

All of this just really reiterates that we need our own infrastructure to make film and television.
Might help if we need to stop supporting these cac-myths so damn much....
And I'm guilty as fukk, I'm all over The Film Room uplifting cac stories.....but shyt like this really emphasizes the issues we have in media.
I really hope that the Nigerian film industry continues to grow....they might be our last fukking hope.
Going back to this comment again, that's a stupid ass statement. You don't see how this blatant misrepresentation and tampering with history further disenfranchises us? And casting the only black people in a movie based on AFRICAN history as thieves, servants, and killers?
I'm downTyping on a message board isn't going to fix it. If you feel strongly about it, get some dudes together, write a screenplay, and work on getting funding to make this an actual movie.
But let's be honest, no one in this thread is going to actually DO anything other than say fukk cacs on a message board
I'm down
double edged sword cause the way shyt seems to work is that they will only market movies to audiences who will return their investment...until black directors consult the black scholars and actually make these movies they were they are supposed to be, you're gonna get more of this
Thutmose, who Moses is based on, would be an excellent movie, because he was a priest in lower egypt that rose to become a pharaoh
