No.

The streets needed USC vs. Michigan.

TBC in 2015.

Easily....

You think they won't put the hype machine in overdrive for the 2 most historic programs with the most championships playing?

It probably would be the most watched, even though it would be even more boring than last years game (if thats possible). Casual fans would come out of the woodworks to watch that game, especially the Notre Dame "fans", you know, the ones that couldnt name any player on their team, but will run to Wal-Mart and buy a Notre Dame t-shirt, hat, and green and gold pom-poms once they find out Notre Dame is finally in the public eye again for something other than firing their head coach.

55 MILLION people watched Nebraska-Oklahoma in 1971. And I'm pretty sure that's not even the record...

Good luck with that.

(FWIW, Bama-LSU last year got 24M)

No, the game doesn't have appeal, stop living in the past... History and tradition doesn't matter these days..

And nothing will ever top the hype of USC vs Texas

:rudy:

Which explains why the two teams with the most of both of those are on a collision course to play for the national title, right?

Won't top USC - Texas (two undefeateds with near losses in the reg. seasons + the two major Heisman contenders). I think Bama - Oregon would have been more hyped than ND - Bama.

what does that gotta do with Alabama vs Notre Dame appealing to TODAYS fans?

nobody gives a shyt about what Notre Dame did in the 1960s or what Alabama did in the 1930s.

This game will have a regional significance, thats it.
