Will Chicago cheer for Sandow over Sheamus at Payback?

I can't stand Sheamus's persona, but he's definitely very solid as a wrestler.

Even in matches where he will definitely win, he sells well and puts over his opponent.

That said, his persona needs retooling badly.

Orton has had a "charactor" as compelling as cardboard lately...

...all he's good for is for shots of cougars in the first few rows.

I was referring to in the ring stories, which is different froma buildup. Working a body part...in match rivalry or acknowledging past history. Selling your charactor in match.... Orton vs cody from 3 or so weeks ago was better than any sheamus match in a year. If you dont remember that or didnt see it thats your fault.

I don't see how bringing up a match between two of the blandest fukkers on the roster is helping your initial point.

So, just from this clip you see that the key to this match is their history..they know each others' movesets well and can counter their finishers with ease. Orton doesnt do the superplex often so it speaks to how much he wants the w. Cody gets amazingly fustrated when crossroads fails to put him away and he brings up legacy, planting the seed that he is now BETTER than orton. He goes for a sure-thing special move to put away rko which he telegraphs for finish. The crowd gets into it more and more until the pinfall. The match was pretty long too for a tv match.

Again, this has nothing to do with the topic, and you/IHY brought up orton. Sheamus doesnt do that match reguarly (not that its a 5 star) ESPECIALLY a whatever raw match not building to anything.

I brought up Orton because you mentioned boring characters which fits Orton to a tee. He also has a somewhat boring style more fitted to being a heel. He's been a face for two or three years wrestling like a heel in forgettable matches with little to no direction. At least Sheamus' matches are good. He and Show put on a legit four star match.

Sandow will get some smark crowd support but I doubt it will be anything major. Sheamus only got boo'd in chicago the last two times because he was wrestling Bryan, and 2nd time he was a cutting promo opposite of Punk. Sandow isn't as respected or established as those two, so sheamus will probably get his usual reaction. You never know with Chicago tho.

Probably cos thats what 'smark' crowds do.i much prefer sheamus as a heel,i thought he was decent(ish) then but they have him as a goofy character to entertain kids so he wont be changing anytime soon
