I really like the Nuggets talent off their bench. Jokic has been really good too and when Nurkic gets back, their gonna have a really nice rotation going.

But Barton has been really good for most of the year and Mudiays injury opened up opportunities on the ball and being able to create his own shot and be in control of the offense when he's out there. I like a lot of the pieces the Nuggets have, they just dont seem to fit together very well right now.

With Mudiay/Barton/Harris/Galinari/Jokic and Nurkic, they have a good, young core and if they can move Faried and maybe Gallinari, they can set themselves up nicely cap space wise and talent wise.

No, but something went terribly wrong there, they had almost everything you can think of but couldn't put it together. Maybe they didn't utilize Batum enough, could have had Aldridge take more of a step back cause they had some serious weapons on that squad.

Did Lillard get too good too soon? :jbhmm:

With the way that team was built, it looked like he was supposed to come in and gradually work into that role. I know he was the 4th or 6th pick so they obviously had high hopes for him, but he became their alpha dog pretty quickly and that takes Batum off the ball more basically making him a 3 and D guy? And they were fighting for a top seed in 2013-2014 when they started that year like 30-9 or some shyt. I think it might have changed their time tables team development wise and wanted to win now mode.

After that Yahoo article and how he basically sabotaged them in the playoffs, I'd theorize it had a lot to do with Aldridge.

I been up on him playing 2k with Portland the last 2 years I always found him some minutes. Watching them summer league Allstar games he a always be on the highlight reals showing out it just looked weird while he he was doing it cause he was so thin. He definitely gone be around and a quality player

Lillard being a terrible defender doesn't help

I don't think Lillard was too good too soon, because they still ended up with a lottery pick in McCollum the next season.

Just look at the position they're in now, they are rebuilding but already have their backcourt of the future, not many teams can get rid of 4 starters and still come away with what they have. If anything, you can probably say they didn't stick with it long enough, they never got to see what McCollum could do with the starters, if anything they should have let Matthews walk and tried to convince Aldridge to stay, but take on a different role in the offense.

That Blazer team should have been a title contender, they were LOADED with talent.

Get Beal a new leg breh, that shyt made of glass :francis:
Their weakness was their bench. They had the most talented starting 5 in the league in my opinion but their bench was thin

They would've had to trade one of those starters for some bench pieces. And at the time Will and CJ wasn't ready to contribute just yet.
