wow a&m's black enrollment is 3% in a state that's 12% black. so they aren't going to lose much by making black folks feel unwelcomed because they're already there. basically they can't be punished for their actions with the general student body, it falls on the only black people they want: athletes. ucla has a higher percentage of black students in a state with only 5.5% black people.

We’re going to see a lot of schools with less than 1% black people in the next few years. Other schools will probably see their enrollment of black student increase….. I hope.

The same people on this anti-diversity push are spouting your anti-trans bullshyt almost verbatim.

Is their bigotry only a problem in this scenario and not the other? :mjpls:

Unfortunately this is the game, they marry the gay and race issue to make it easier to attack the race issue

I’m not anti trans. I think kids should be protected from things that affect their development based on shoddy medical rationale.

The medical rationale argument is not on your side. The process for transitioning is highly individualized, based on the circumstances of the particular child, and includes input from multiple medical professionals, the parents, and the child.

It's one thing to argue that it is a bad strategy for Democrats to focus on trans issues as a political matter.

It's another thing to argue as if the science is in your side when the process itself involves the input and counsel of multiple medical professionals.

It’s not on your side actually. There’s no justification for transitioning as a salve of perceived gender dysphoria when the actual dysphoria itself hadn’t even been established. In fact many who transition end up regretting it because it turns out they were just gay.

He sometimes cites those people too. It makes it hard to take him seriously on a number of topics because of that.

......

As far as regret, he's misleading again. This time using a DeSantis lie. Detransitioning is extremely rare. And of the small percentage of people who detransition, it is only done temporarily in some cases and because of social pressure from family or others.

Don't just say "many", thats a cop out.

What percentage of trans people end up regretting it? Please be specific and post supporting evidence like @Alan Johnson did.

My suspicion is that you deliberately left out the numbers because you know they don't back up your argument.
