Wiggins was drafted based on defensive potential so why is he #73 on DRPM?

Russ was a lockdown defender in College and was drafted based on that and the other things he could do. He just chooses not to give much of a fukk on that end because he is orchestrating a top 5 offense in the NBA night in and night out. Wiggins doesn't have that load and never has, he is terrible in transition defense and team defense in general. This is the 2nd time in a row he's been straight garbage on that end.

It's not like he was a lockdown defender in College and then had to carry an huge massive load when he came into the league. Dude isn't even the best on his team Rubio and KAT are impacting the game much more than Wiggins ever did.

I've never seen a player with his length, speed and quickness
Stop gassing him...

LeBron was longer, faster, and quicker than Wiggins and overall more explosive and more creative in the air than Wiggins at the same age. Jordan didn't have his length but he was also faster, quicker, and overall more explosive and creative in the air. Paul George is another one.
21 ppg on 46% in his second year isn't hitting?

What the hell were you expecting, 28/6/6? :mjlol:
21 on 46% FG looks good on the surface but he's an empty stats player...he has very little impact offensively.

Lebron is not faster or quicker than Wiggins. He's not even longer than Wiggins. Wiggins standing reach was measured at 8'11". LeBrons was measured at 8'10.25". Drew was also measured at 6'8.75" in shoes. Lebron 6'8" in shoes :yeshrug:. He might be faster with the ball in his hands but he's not actually faster than Wiggins. He's also not quicker than Wiggins. Lebron has an average first step. Wiggins first step and second leap are top 3 in the league. Andrew is on another level than PG when it comes to quickness and speed. Wiggins is an all around more explosive player than PG by a solid margin

LeBron is faster than Wiggins period stop it. This nikka ran a 4.4 40 his senior year of high school and reportedly did a 4.6 in his Miami days at 6'8 265 lb. Don't you think being faster with the ball is pretty significant? :comeon:

Wiggins ain't more athletic than Bron. Paul George has one of the quickest first steps in the league he's one of the quickest players laterally period it's why he's a top tier defender and he does it at 6'10, George has better body control and is out here doing 360 windmills in game.

LaVine looks more athletic than Wiggins too. Wiggins has a high vert but is a static jumper best jumping off both legs that's why his dunks are :trash:...

Wiggins is not as creative in the air as players like Jordan, LBJ, George, Westbrook, Rose, Pippen who could contort their bodies and make difficult lay-ups and up and unders and were/are all better dunkers than Wiggins.

:dead: @ a Melo fan calling anyone an empty stats player, and ontop of that Wiggins is more athletic and has a bigger wingspan than Paul George.

Two years ago Westbrook had a 55% TS and was 177 in the league in DRPM.

The two best teams in the league heavily use analytics :mjlol:

The Warriors use it in damn near every move they make.

USING AND RELYING IS TWO DIFFERENT THINGS

Who cares if I'm a Melo fan? What does that have to do with my criticism? I know Melo is a flawed player. Wiggins being an empty stats player is a fact though, many articles written on the subject. Dude has a lot of flaws in his game. He can't pass, his court vision and ball handling is poor. He put up 20 points on a high paced team and he isolated a ton. For a player of his usage his assists % is laughably bad and he's not a threat from distance. Sure he has room to grow but his ball handling and passing ability even at this age is concerning.

You talking about Melo but you better hope this nikka turns out being better than Melo, just look at Melo's first two seasons.

George is longer he's grown since coming into the league, he's 6'10 with around a 7'1 wingspan. Y'all acting like George don't throw down 360 windmills in game, don't got ridiculous posters and don't catch more ankles than Wiggins. In terms of quickness George and Wiggins are comparable. This nikka Wiggins 6'7 with a 44 inch vert and barely gets 3 boards a game. Foh.

Wiggins is faster than Lebron. Son of a silver medal Olympian in track. Has stated if he was a basketball player he'd run track. He's faster than Lebron.

Wiggins is faster, quicker, all around more explosive than pg. if pg is so quick why doesn't he get to the rim like drew?? I'm a pg fan. I've watched him extensively for years. He's not Wiggins level athletically .

I never said Wiggins was more athletic than Lebron. I said he was faster and quicker and was longer. Lebron has better body control and is strong as an ox. It's LeBrons strength that really sets him on another world athletically.

I'm not talking about creativity in the air. I'm talking about quickness length and speed and how he has elite tools for defending :francis:
