My Thoughts
Apologies for getting this out late, today. My luck ran out and I finally caught the Kung Flu for the first time, through no fault of my own. Foster sister caught it, unbeknownst to anybody, and she was coughing and shyt without my mother thinking to test her for COVID. By the time she did test her, it was too late. It hit me. It hit my mother the next day. So, I blame my mother.
Aside from that, I had to watch that Patriots' debacle of a season opener.

I gotta get this shyt out before House of the Dragon hits. So, we may not be looking at my best work. Gotta power through, though. Here we go.In a down weekend for the Domestic Box Office ($39.7M) Newcomer, Barbarian, scared moviegoers into their seats, to the tune of $10M. That includes $850K in Thursday previews. That $10M is an impressive feat considering it was only projected to do $8M.
If you look a little closer, it gets even more impressive for Barbarian. It grossed $3.8M on Friday (including Thursday previews). Typically, the debut Friday is the highest grossing day for a new movie. That was not the case with Barbarian. It actually grossed $3.9M on Saturday. You just don't see that with new movies. And this is a movie that I want to see. Thanks, COVID, you sonuvabytch.
This shyt looks creepy as fukk. You got Pennywise sans makeup, shrouded in darkness like he in that sewer about to bite Georgie's arm off. Only, here, he's a good guy? Or is he?
Look, I'm not gonna pretend like I know what the fukk Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is. COVID has affected my ability to research. That, and time constraints. I know this: it's part one of a Disney Bollywood trilogy. It only played in 810 theaters and still took second place with $4.4M. Impressive, considering that $3.6M projection. So, Disney took the two top spots. Finally, a win for the little guy.
Coming in third with $3.2M was Bullet Train. That brings it's domestic total to $92.5M. It's now up to $211.8M worldwide. It's now $3M away from breaking even, which is something we thought might not happen. Good for you, @Paper Boi. I'll catch you Thursday at 10 in Atlanta.
Another week, another top five finish for Top Gun: Maverick. It's $3.1M was good for 4th place in it's 16th weekend.
With a worldwide gross of $1.453B, it's now moved past Frozen ll for as the 11th highest grossing film ever, worldwide. Iont think there's much more that I can say about it. 
It was hard to find a new gif to use since this shyt has been in theaters so long. Pretty sure I haven't used this yet. If I have, chalk it up to COVID brain.
Taking fifth place was DC League of Super-Pets with $2.8M. It's now up to $85.4M domestically and $168M worldwide. It's also finished in the top five in all but one of it's 7 weekends. My super pet, Whiskers, has to stay in the basement so I (really my mother) don't give her COVID.
Miss you, Whisk, but it's for your own good. I can't trust these muthafukkas upstairs, walking around maskless and shyt. I gotchu.
Notables Outside the Top Five
Minions: The Rise of Gru has now grossed $903.9M worldwide. That the first animated movie to accomplish that feat since 2019's Frozen ll.Spider-Man: No Way Home — The More Fun Stuff Version fell from 3rd place to 10th place this weekend, with $1.3M.
Nope is up to $122M domestically and $165.3M worldwide.
Jaws' Bruce bit into $620K in ticket sales and is up to $4.5M domestically in it's re-release.
Jurassic World Dominion pulled in $157K as it moves at Stegosaurus-like pace towards $1B worldwide.
