I said it before and I'll say it again...

I don't trust him

And I'm not even FBA.
your not unusual

non street oriented rappers get the most criticism in this diseased culture. and it's typically the same sentiment. "I don't trust him"

but if he was on some self destructive chaotic ride shyt would just be a slap no questions asked

the culture is a joke

Exactly
It's a bad musical

That song on The Wakanda soundtrack hot garbage

This that social media gen z, extra, faux-tep shyt
word not all his shyt is good and he does tend to be like a musical.

still has a lane in a game saturated with bullshyt. as far as the faux tep accusation. he one of the few people actually living that tep life. so what's he faking? lol

brother is harmless and easily avoidable. not on radio etc. but people are genuinely pissed he exists and has a lane. that's really odd

yeah I like Tobe as a person, but his music lacks "it" as far as energy and authenticity.
I feel like he's playing a role/character and its hurting the listenability of his music
oh word he is playing a character? in a game full of fake personas? you don't say

i guess everyone was escobar of their city, the hardest gangsters ever, toughest drillers outside.

boy if people can't see how deep they programmed to hate "alternative" brehs

so in contrast by implication all the absurdities other rappers present are perfectly "normal". this is the wildest character in rap.

let me guess he "too positive" it's just not realistic compared to the ultra negative caricatures of Black men that run around the game

:laff:

Nah bruh, its "regular" guys like Kid Cudi and XV who made good music without being pretentious.
A song like "awesome" by XV is a regular / suburban breh song without sounding pretentious.

Don't do that.

I'll articulate my thoughts clearer.
His performative activism reminds me of DeRay Mckesson or anybody connected to the Black Lives Matter organization.

White funded left wing intersectional politics are deceptive. That's why I don't trust him.

And who said anything about cosigning 'destructive chaotic shyt'?

i'm glad you can recognize that what about the other rappers cosplaying street dudes

69 was not an anomaly. he was part of a tradition of rappers who align themselves with street dudes for clout. that's being in character and this is an entertainment industry. we got rappers like Ross the biggest boss and Pusha Dudas T who never breaks character on record etc etc and all that is normal and accepted so tell me logically why you find THIS character so off putting. so absurd. he should not stick out in a game full of characters unless you feel like the rest are "more realistic"

i'm 100% convinced its the positivity. and there's a deeper problem not being addressed. you can look back in this culture as far back as arrested development or PM DAWN. THIS ENERGY has always existed. where ultra possitive type rappers are heavily scrutinized for not being realistic which suggests realism is tinged with more hopelessness and violence for some of us. like we can't accept the idea of people who are too happy, optimistic, righteous as being real. But the opposite is absolutely normal. THAT is not normal.

I accept the criticism about his artistry, I DON'T LIKE most of his music. But he still has a lane and nobody should be bothered by it.

that's a black man preaching Black family i don't see any intersectional shyt

his setup is actually quite conservative if we being honest far as family dynamic that he presents to the world. far as subject matter that's his choice, maybe that's his passion. i don't see the performative element you claim exists and this is something that has been stated since the "conscious" rap era yet that angle never sold. Mos Def was the closest star out that realm of music and he only went gold. yet people kept insisting people are pro black for sales. Pro black DON'T SELL.
