A single mother isn't a scarlet letter.
And why aren't people asking why someone would date a man who has children out of wedlock? Seems really unfair how much you people stigmatize single mothers on this website.
I'm in my early 30s. A lot of women my age have kids. I wouldn't be too worried about the idea of dating a woman with a child. The primary thing would be working out a relationship with her first.
I concede that the child does change the dynamic, just because you have to be careful how you proceed. Not every woman should let any man they date around their child...for several reasons. But if for nothing else than you don't want a child experiencing different men or women coming in and out of their lives at such a young age.

Is it just how they are programmed? they programmed to be mothers, but why didnt that relationship work, and is it selfish to have kids, but not pick a solid mate to be with the kids.

ive done it, would not recommend. unless she is a true 10 with the personality to match. its just too many headaches that you can avoid by finding a single chick with no kids.

I don't know what you mean by programmed. Programmed to be mothers? Would that imply that men are programmed to bury their bone in everything that moves and move on? Not sure I'm following or agreeing with that premise -- if it is your premise. I'm not sure.

As far as why relationships don't work...pick one. Sometimes people make poor choices. Sometimes people grow apart in relationships. There are several reasons.
I don't really care why a person is a single mother or father. It matters more how they are proceeding as people and parents.
