Why won't one of these big developers Shang Tsung PUBG's sauce?

Since 2017, theres been an assload of BR games that have released, with Warzone probably being the biggest one (Fortnite peak may have been higher, but Warzone wont die). Not a single one does battle royale quite like PUBG does.

Can you imagine a AAA PUBG?? It would completely rob them of their entire playerbase while also removing the low budget dumb shyt that exists in PUBG which would entice even more players. I'm just sitting here thinking about the embarrassing amount of money I've spent on PUBG and I may never spend a dime on it again out of frustration. You see, I can't stop playing PUBG, im legitimately addicted, but I need them to either come out with another version with improved mechanics and graphics, OR I need some AAA to come crush the buildings and get the job done. Apex Legends is an example of how a AAA can take an idea and run with it to make some GOAT shyt. I need somebody like Ubisoft to make a Ghost Recon BR to really light the streets on fire.

I may not have done the best job explaining what I mean so in short: Why has nobody else made a realistic BR game? Call of Duty hasn't even TRIED to be realistic since Advanced Warfare, Battlefield is cool but doesn't quite get it done right and is FPP only, Fortnite is lollipop bullshyt that hurt gaming way more than it helped with it's silly bullshyt. I want a PUBG, but...better. Which is sad because even in the state it's in it's still my multiplayer GOAT by a long shot. What's the deal? This seems like money left on the table

Your problem was making a thread about PUBG. That game doesn't get talked about around here like that, and the answer to your question is pretty obvious:

Why steal the sauce of the second or third most successful battle royale game when the gap between them and Fortnite is so large? If you're going to chase a trend, you might as well shark the market leader.

Yeah, part of it is these dudes are terrible at gaming and get destroyed every time they select multiplayer, but I think the other side of it is personal. Not even finna explain just gonna continue taking my talents to better quality gaming sites where discussions don't center around console wars. (How dare you buy a PS5 :damn::damn: meanwhile I probably got the highest gamerscore in this bytch)

But as for your second point: that's why I mentioned Ubisoft. Their bread and butter is making realistic tactical shooters (between Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six series) so I'm just simply saying make a battle Royale version of it that can really monopolize on whatever is so damn addicting about PUBG. An Ubisoft Fortnite would be ridiculous, but a R6 or GR battle Royale has real promise, both commercially and critically.

Because the engine has just the right sauce. Fortnite is very vapid, and it just happened to strike all chords (timing, presentation, etc.) when it came out.

If PUBG had the same support as the other titles and got frequent updates, collabs etc they would blow Fortnite out the water.

Well it def wont be Ubisoft. They tried their hand at a BR(which i liked alot) and failed. They also had plans on a Ghost Recon BR and canceled it.

My point exactly. I mean just look at that bullshyt you posted (hyperscape). Aint nobody coming to Ubisoft due no motherfyckin vibrant color palettes and nikkas in goofy suits jumping 500 feet in the air and shyt with cod movement :scust:

There's a HUGE market of OG Ubisoft fans that want Sam Fisher, Ding Chavez, that GRAW pack, etc. that they REFUSE to cater too. Have you ever played RU: Extraction? nikkas put aliens in a Rainbow 6 game bro I can't stand these muhfuggas. It's like they would rather try to steal Apex/Fortnite sauce than cater to the fans they already have accumulated over the years and make a proper PUBG ripoff. I mean because honestly, I vividly remember sweating it up and GRAW and the sequel, and a lot of those matches felt like mini BR anyway. They can do it without even being looked at as biters cuz they the predecessors anyway.

PUBG is just different, bro. I've played them all, none have the lasting entertainment value of PUBG, not even Apex.

Thank you!!!! I've been saying this shyt for years but outside of my fellow devout PUBGers I can't get anyone else to understand this

EDIT: damn there's a lotta typos in that shyt my bad but this shyt got me tight

Gotta disagree with you on the bolded. Even with all of that, the gameplay is still the gameplay. For better or worse, Fortnite's gameplay is what really holds people after all the other stuff reels them in. PUBG doesn't lend itself to being something you can pick up easily enough to quickly get hooked.

There's a reason that Fortnite was basically little more than a failed tech demo before they decided to ride the battle royale wave after PUBG had that one year when they had the juice, and then surpassed PUBG. They just found a better way to make the same product for a wider audience.

Idk family. The gameplay in PUBG seemed more solid, and more beginner friendly. In Fortnite you really have to job to bullet sponges until you start leveling up and can be competitive.

Nah I get it Fortnite is completely for the casual bot ass gamer who is more concerned about being bob the builder than surgical with a firearm. Makes total sense for a developer to pimp that lane.

However I'm pissed the hell off that hardcore gamers must suffer because there's more money in catering to casuals. Serious question, are there not enough hardcore gamers to justify developing games with them in mind? I mean because we have had mil-sim shooters developed and released, but they mostly suck. I think my addiction to PUBG is just derived from lack of competition. I dead ass can't get the feeling of a chicken dinner anywhere else. Which is good for Krafton because we'll keep coming back for another hit, but damn I would think other companies would want in on that niche market. I have ZERO problems finding a game on PUBG, no matter what time of day it is (squads). Game is not dead even on console all these years later.

I used to be a PUBG head, but it's way too many campers in that shyt and too slow paced compared to the other BRs.

PUBG themselves could be a better version of PUBG but they don't want to because they're still raking it in.

For this type of game, honestly, not really. At least not in the sense of setting out to make a game more successful than what PUBG already is.

When you tell people that they're going to be playing a slower paced tactical game where they might be done until the next game in minutes, you lose a solid chunk of the audience.

A better way to think of PUBG is as something for people who maybe end up moving to from other BR style games. Like Fortnite, but want something a little more grounded and tactical? PUBG. Like Warzone, but want something without all the typical CoD fukkery? PUBG. Don't like the setting, characters, or powers and whatnot of Apex? PUBG. By nature of essentially being the alternative, the game will always be able to do well, but just not as well as the other more accessible games.
