in the movie, it could be argued that it is actually promotion for mcdonalds, certainly there was no monetary damage to them because of it

but in the TO example with this company, the company is set to profit with a logo very similar to one protected under copyright law. they haven't released anything yet, nor is their website very functional at the moment, so im not sure if they filed paperwork to see if their logo is okay yet, but they better before they start mass producing products or they will be fukked.
