Why was Into the Spider-Verse so damn good?

I'm not sure why either but the film hits the spot. I'm a spidey purist and even I couldn't find words to hate on this movie. Took my son to see it, we both loved it.

I agree that the other characters felt kind of shoehorned in, but I think if they had focused on him building a relationship with gwen instead, it would have ended up feeling like a more cookie-cutter conventional story. Adding all the other characters instead kind of kept it funky, for better or worse.

Nah they didn't have to introduce ALL of them. Just the first Spiderman would have kept it interesting. The other ones made no sense and added no depth to the story. They were just ....there. and distracting from miles progression

...anyway, the movie was great overall but wasn't perfect. I felt it had a few low points that felt slow. Again...overall great movie though. I can't wait to cop the 4K blu ray

I liked the movie. Just thought that part of the writing was a bit lazy.

It really was a great movie. It's my son's favorite movie right now too. My son's done the "Hey" thing (that Miles uncle taught Miles to do when he likes a girl) to a couple of girls that he likes. It's cringe-worthy that he's done this but hilarious all the same time, because he's in first grade, already trying to figure out how to talk to females.

Its 100% there, but im not necessarily sure its a bad thing overall.

But i see your point. In the eyes of progressives, this is what yall want, but you wont really show it with a black guy white girl in a youth film.

Just something I noticed. It seemed weird especially seeing in “the Load house” cartoon the black friend has 2 dads. Seems like it’s put in place for the adults moreso than the kids.

My 7yo niece that usually just wants to watch shyt with talking animals or little princesses, even loved this movie.

She was pretending to cast webs as we left out the theater.

Now she wants to be spider girl for Halloween.

Was on a 2 hour flight and I saw this movie was available on the United app. Played it an hour into the flight. Worst mistake of my life. I am feening to see the end of this movie. Loved what I saw so far, just mad at myself for not seeing this in theaters.

Watched it OTW back from London on American, even tho I already seen it I wasn’t ready for how much piff was in that shyt. You shoulda seen it in a Dolby Vision theater
