Let's be reality, a lot of Black men give Latina women passes for their bad behavior that they wouldn't give to Black women because they have the appearance of being exotic and different. That type of anger gets written off as spiciness. We as Black people have absorbed the white man's stereotypes into our own thinking.

If You a Latina woman or a light skinned black woman, they can get away with ratchet shyt as long as they resemble as an IG thot. Sometimes, just a pretty face can get away with shyt that a dark skinned woman cannot.

Its an issue with women of all races. Men will give abusive and controlling behavior a pass because they don't want to believe that they could be in an abusive relationship. Some mens sense of self and masculinity is so weak that they think that putting up with someone who doesn't value them makes them heroic or downplays what is clearly not an okay situation to be in.

So I have a friend whose wife is from Venezuela and every time they argue she hits him throws things at him and curses him out. Then after phones him crying and says sorry that she is that way because she is a Latina and is fiery and feisty. The other day is was advising him and told him he is in a toxic relationship and that he isn’t setting a good example for his kids and the fool goes on to regurgitate her whole Latina excuse. I am looking at him like we all know that if it was a black woman that acted like that she would be labelled as ghetto and trash etc… So how come “Latinas” are allowed to use that “Oh I am Latina and am feisty and can’t be tamed” excuse? Shouldn’t they be equally labelled as trash and ghetto like in behaviour for acting out of line.

My experience with both black and latina women is that they're both fiestly in the same ways, bad behavior is bad behavior. However, as fiesty as they are, latina women, on average, still cater to their man, let their man lead and know how to take care of the man. They understand gender roles and what the man should be doing and what she should be doing as a woman. So there's some sort of balance. Black women, on average, don't cater to their man, and more often than not don't even know how to. They also are claim to be independent, etc etc which is oxymoronic to the fact that you want a man in the first place. Won't let the man lead etc. Im not saying its all black women, but alot fall into this category.
