I find this funny because I told a group of my black friends this maybe 8 years ago and they got hella pissed at me and said cause you African you dont understand. The point I tried to drill in their head was that black ppl had more of a sense of community and group economics before the word even became mainstream. I was telling folks this in 2008 and got cursed out and called out my name over it. The irony of the truth now.
