they gave Conan two shots. Fallon had a long ass time to get it right. And pretty much everyone else gets to weather the waters.

So, now intead of being able to watch Seinfeld atleast 3 times a day...you can watch it almost 4 times a day!

dont like much late night tv, but I saw him with prince, and that shyt was AWFUL. mostly due to prince being a HORRIBLE guest, but it was totally unwatchable.

Seth will get more chances because of who runs late night on NBC (Lorne Michaels), but that shyt can get deaded real soon with the way he's going.#3 Says it all. How do you expect a show to succeed when you won't invest in it? I knew the show was doomed when I saw the writing staff, they had maybe 2 or 3 black people and the rest were old or hipster white people. And let's not let those people who thought Arsenio was beneath them off the hook either.
If you think Arsenio was bad trust me Seth Myers is a billion times worse, but watch him last 15yrs.

off topic, but not really: If Seinfield premiered in 2014 it woulda got cancelled quick. A lot of the shows that we know as classics, it took them a while to gain a foothold. It took Seinfeld 4 seasons to get right.
Arsenio simply didn't have the backing needed (story of Arsenio's life). Lorne Michaels would give Kenan Thompson at least 3 years if he wanted his own show.
Compared to how George Lopez got done dirty, I don't feel bad for Arsenio. The magic wasn't there the 2nd time around. I feel bad for the artists that would never sniff late night that got to perform on Arsenio

His show was a little uncomfortable to watch because we know that he hasn't gotten his groove back yet but I'm sure in the 2nd or 3rd season he would have found it and gotten comfortable. He wasn't his former self (80's-90's Arsenio) but it wasn't a totally bad show. Now Seth has a bad show.
I thought the reason he got axed was because of not getting guests, begging for guests to come on his show, his acts on Donald Sterling and buying the clippers and saying "now that's a real white woman" to one of his audience members who was from Europe when he had Katt Williams on their answering questions.
Monique had a good show.
Lopez had a good show.
Now Arsenio again...
