The closest he came with a film with the black man being the unequivocal hero for black man was with Malcolm X, and even with that it ends tragically by the death of other black men!

it's just crazy that QT gave the black man his ultimate due when with all the creative freedom spike lee had with his films, NEVER done a film in which the black man is the undeniable hero with no faults or character flaws in him...

something to ponder about.

I guess he tries to artistically show that there truly is no justice for a black man. Where as most other races focus on the prominent character traits of a man, society looks at how to pinpoint of black males flaws only to bring him to downfall because of these flaws. Just my opinion....

If we're considering this there's no such thing as a happy ending in a black movie. Like, how can Love Jones be called a happy ending when millions of black women are raising kids as single mothers? Or what's gonna happen in Love and Basketball when Quincy turns into a fukk nikka won't find a job and he's depending on his wife's meager WNBA salary?

Spike Lee tells his stories based upon the concepts of REALITY. In REALITY rarely is their justice for the black race and rarely is their a " happy ending". Though I enjoyed Django immensely to compare the fantasy that was Django Unchained to the REALITY that was Malcolm X is not only incorrect, it is based upon faulty logic bordering upon trolling. If you are actually serious I trying to compare Django to a Spike Lee joint I highly recommend you read a book on African American HISTORY the past several hundred years because I can guarantee you there are more instances of Do The Right Thing than Django throughout black history

Basically Tarantino always uses sensationalized characters where spike tends to shoot his films more on realism. Just because x died in the end doesn't make what he did in the movie any less spectacular than Django "justice" spree.
