Why some African Americans are moving to Africa

hey...I'm African dreaming too.

But yea...America is too hostile and unfriendly towards black people. Even my family now who's been here for years want to leave in the wake of all these police killings of u armed black people and these protests/riots. They don't think its safe here for them.

That shyt broke my heart coming from my family members in conversation..but I feel them.

Everyday I wake up in this country...Im not happy just mad...like look at how people think they can just walk all over us and disrespect us cause they aint black.

We deserve better than this. I feel if I stay Im just gonna get locked up for slapping some ignorant racist white person in a checkout line somehwre.

Too much stress for black people here in America.

Not enough appreciation.

And frankly Id rather be somewhere like in Ghana or Nigeria where i can walk around and everyone looks like ME!

I know this is a good amount of us just up and left and took all our money and manpower cacs would be mad ASF...

When Kwame Nkrumah began recruiting African American professionals to help build up Ghana's infrastructure decades ago, it was meant to accomplish several things.

First there was a segment of highly educated, highly trained Black people in this country whose talents weren't appreciated. They would be appreciated and well compensated in a growing newly independent country. And in a psychological break from colonialism, the citizens of the country aren't seeing WHITE people building the country up, but people who look like them. Ghanaians ,African Americans and other diasporans.

Helped to reverse whatever colonial mindfukk the british tried to impose on them when they were a colony. I'm sure that directly and indirectly the british system taught white superiority, so you've got to remove all traces of that right away.
