Apparently Deng was an allstar last year, the bar I'm setting isn't THAT high. As a full time starter this year he'll have a lot of room playing with Rose, he's already averaged 8.5 points per game, it's not a stretch to say a player with his potential cant give you 15-16 points per game with significant minutes.
In the playoffs he was giving 13.3 points a game, 3-4 more points per game and he's the difference.
