They seem to have a winning formula with male superhero's in order to attract the female audience. They hire an actor. dude starts working out they do a shirtless scene cut print. ladies like it.
They don't seem to reciprocate the same way with female super hero films anymore. They remove all the sexually from the characters and tone them down compared to the comics. No eye candy to draw in the male audience. side effect of the female empowerment i guess because they used to do female action movies different back in the day. Charlies Angels, tomb raider they would allow the women to be sexy.
Nothing sexy about captain marvel or madame web. Even black widow, who was sexy in her iron man 2 debut, wasn't contributing any sex appeal in her solo movie.

Sony created The Spectacular Spider-Man, Spider-Verse, and the Insomniac games lol. Some of the best Spidey stories/media to date. Which shyts on everything that the mcu have done with the character.
