Knicks need to trade Carmelo due to the fact that he's the worst type of player: a good scorer who isn't an impact player. Look at Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Stephon Marbury. Melo's in the same category. He will never lead a team to an NBA title. Just trade him to the Nets and build around Stoudemire, Chandler, and Lin. If all three are healthy I bet the Knicks will at least be a top 4 team in the East.
