I don't think she's that great of an actress, nor was she ever, I remember her in 'The Glass House', in 2000, I saw that on my 15th birthday. She was awful in '88 Min', and with that terrible acting, direction, writing, that ran rampant in that movie...she had to stand out as being pretty below average.

The most interesting part of the story were the people at the bar - typical NYC hipster attitude, feign indifference. It was a few years ago, invited to the bar because my buddies friend was DJ-ing (forgot the name of the bar, I think it was Bhudda Bar or something). As soon as I come in, being the scoundrel that I am, I already spot the 2 girls at the end of the rectangular bar sitting by themselves. It's all about situational awareness - As soon as I come in I already know where all the exits are and where everybody is. So I positioned myself right across them to make eye contact and that's when I noticed who she was - Rogue from X-Men. I give it a few minutes to make eye contact all the while I'm thinking "why haven't any dudes try to pounce?" They were by themselves and no one was trying to spit game. So I look around see a bunch dudes pretending like she's not there with her even hotter friend. I knew they wanted to holla but they just don't have the balls. I realised this when I went to introduced myself and every eye was on me me like "what is he doing?" In my mind i'm just laughing at how lame that was.
Anyway, I told them i was new in the city just trying to get to know people and I saw how cute they were and I had to at least come and say hi and maybe get to know what they're about - nothing crazy, just kept it simple. At first they were reluctant to talk to me because the whole vibe I sensed was "How dare you even try to approach us, dont you see all these other dudes keeping their distance, so who the hell do you think you are", her hot blonde friend even told me "I think you're barking up the wrong tree here" But me being the d!ck that I am I just took that as a challenege so I respond "Oh I think it's the other way around, I seen it and did it all so this is nothing" I don't know what the fukk that meant but it doesn't have to make sense with broads, just have to remain poised when they try to throw curve balls at you. A bit later on Paquin is not really talking and I tell her "you don't like me? awwwww, because I can leave and you guys can be bored by youserlves again
" they laugh again and the blonde goes "you can stay" and Paquin I mumbled "sure." She straight up was not feeling me.Anyway, long story short, the blonde did most of the talking, Paquin had some questions. I even got the hot blondes #. She said she was a dominatrix (she told me I wouldn't be able to handle her which led to another funny exchange) but I didn't ask for Paquins because again, she was just straight up not feeling me like that - although she was cool and happy that someone was talking to her and having a regular conversation with her. I asked what she does, she said actor and I go "oh really, been in a desert for so long I've been out of the loop, you do broadway?" blah blah, again just talking, by that time I was mostly paying attention to the blonde. Anyway, I bounced and went back to my friend before the conversation got stale all the while all the dudes eyes are on me like "I can't believe the balls on this kid." One of the bartenders even gave me a free shot afterwards lol. As they left like a few minutes later I ask for a hug and they both gave me one.
I texted the blonde to come to my hotel(I wasn't staying in one but but I would have gotten one if she had said yes) that night to do some dominatrix stuff on me but she just responded "good night
" then I called the blonde twice a day later but she ignored my phone calls lol and that was that. You win some you lose some.

Her father was her manager and he was nuts and basically ruined her career, no one wanted to deal with them. Think I read it on cracked.com a while back
