Why isn't Kobe's 2004 Finals against the pistons talked about like Bron's dallas series is?

It's old when we talking bout LeBron at 34 in his 17th season but mentioning 32 yr old Kobe, who has a much more extensive injury history, in his 15th season is a stretch:comeon:.

Kobe just won the finals and MVP the season before, but he gets swept and all of a sudden he was getting old (oh yeah while playing all 82 games)

Nah you cant have it both ways cut it out :stopitslime:

nikka wasn't LeBron a MVP candidate last year and dropping 51 in the Finals?:what:

Thar nikka ain't even in the playoffs right now.

If nikkas can use his age and mileage as an excuse than I can do the same for Kobe who played with less talent that year. Not expecting 32 year old Kobe to guard everyone on the opposing team isn't unreasonable. Him doing that is why he tore his Achilles 2 years later.:childplease:

Compare 32 yr old Kobe who wasn't even Terry's primary defender to 26 yr old LeBron "He can guard all 5 positions" James choking in the Finals and not playing D. Your GOAT played with the 3rd greatest SG of all time, was up 2-1 and lost 3 straight after leaving Cleveland because "he couldn't win there". FOH nikka:russ:
Funny because I see a lot of people going at a 34 yr old LeBron for hovering around the 8 seed in a season he missed a month with injury but those same people were OK with a 27 yr old Kobe missing the playoffs badly in a similar situation.

This is about 2011, stop moving the goalpost, and if you wanna bring up not making playoffs, Kobe was out the playoffs in '04 - '05 at the age of 27-28. So whatever excuse you wanna use for that season apply that to a 15th season and MUCH more older LeBron :umad:

If nikkas can use his age and mileage as an excuse than I can do the same for Kobe who played with less talent that year.

Less talent? :dahell:

again HE JUST WON THE FINALS with that roster!!!!! but now they get swept they trash :dead:

funny he was old at 32, and then at 33 was averaging 30 pts in the playoffs :dead:

these dudes grasping at straws at this point :laff::laff::laff::laff::laff:
On the same note, Shaq who was notorious for bad conditioning and playing his way into shape, finished second by a razor thin margin for the MVP award at 33 as well :heh:

the 2010 finals took a lot out of Kobe. As a matter fact, when you look at both teams, nobody from that series was ever the same after.

Kobe wasn't "old" per se but his body was real fukked up by that point. Remember he had to go to Germany for that "treatment" which led to that rejuvenation during the 2012-2013 season.

your dates don't match up chief :jbhmm:

2010 - 2010 he wins, championship

2010 - 2011 he gets swept by dallas - hes old and not the same

2011 - 2012 (lockout) loses to OKC, ACTUALLY puts up better postseason numbers than the previous postseason

2012 - 2013 he gets injured and misses playoffs when they got swept by San Antonio (cant knock him because he got injured in game 1)

and THE he went to Germany after that for that treatment to start the '13-14 season

Again he got better after supposedly "getting old"

it's crazy how yall just cant admit dude got his ass whooped :manny:

Your shyt doesn't match up.:mjlol:

The Dwight Howard year was the 2012-2013 season. Kobe tore his achilles in April 2013.

Celtics series took a lot out of Kobe, i dont think you guys realized how hard both teams played that series. 2011 Kobe's knee was fukked. He played way less minutes per game than usual. He even said he felt bad he couldn't give it his all for Phil's last year. He got the Germany treatment AFTER that season. That's why he played better in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 seasons.
