I agree but the reason why he's doing this world tour overseas now is they are willing to pay him top dollars to see him and they appreciate him over there even though he is shot to sh!t. Roy can't make that type of money over hear anymore. He doesn't make that much from commentary its steady check but nothing he is used to. So fighting is his only option. Too bad when he was at the top of his game he didn't want to travel due to the issues he had with Olympics. Imagine if he did back then he would be even more famous, they worship a shot RJJ. Imagine if they saw dude in his prime.

i remember he also had some fighters under him, what ever happened to them? rjj could never come back to american soil and be a mega star over there look at bob sapp.
Some of the fighters he had moved on because he can't really give them the spot light they need to get out there like that. The only fighter he's been really pushing is former champion out in PA Paul Spadafora.

Roy says he wants to win a legitimate cruiserweight title. If he's truly going to do that he has to really have a true training camp. I really think he needs a new higher tier trainer. He's had two new trainers recently but him being Roy they are just yes men to him. He's needs somebody light fire on his ass like his father did to keep him motivated. I like watching him on HBO commentary but shouldn't be breaking his training camps to do fight tours with HBO. I know he has too and that was the reason why he got fired from HBO in the past when he was P4P #1.
To answer your question the guys he's been fighting are more sparring partner types. I don't think he's ready to fight any of the CW title holders yet. But to really test his chance with a live body and somebody who is going to come to fight. Someone that will pressure him the whole time pressure him the whole time would be BJ Flores a guy he just to promote for. Fight probably wouldn't happen because of that but it would be a good fight for Roy to prove himself with a young hungry guy in the CW division.

I think prime RJJ pre-HW would pretty much defeat most of them guys at the time. Roy had power in both hands and is quicker then all them with his hands/feet etc. Plus Roy was naturally bigger then them.
