The weird thing is that this isn't really a new thing but it's became mainstream and normalized with the Republican Party moving further to the right

American white supremacists have a long been in bed with Russia/Putin or at least the idea of it/shared ideologies.

US and Russia both have serious neo-nazi movements which is pretty bizarre considering. The Russian movements were/are really mainstream political parties and all until they were banned/co-opted by Putin.

Russian money supercharged it and the tea party/maga becoming pillars of the Republican Party cemented it there publicly.

Also when I think back to the early conspiracy websites I'd read for fun they were infested with Russian and Iranian propaganda
