The other thing that hurts them is the unfair comparison to DC stuff. I get that it's going to happen but it's unfair in the sense that Marvel doesn't have someone like Bruce Timm in charge (when he was in charge) and taking their animated flicks as seriously as one would take a live action flick. Mask of the Phantasm was released in theaters, that's how serious it was for him and his team and the studio. When they set out to do their shyt, they don't just cobble a storyline together, they often adapt dope arcs e.g. year one, dark knight returns, tower of babel, the red hood, death of superman, superman birthright.

And they also aren't under the same restrictions that Marvel is under right now. That Disney banner, while worth a lot in terms of promo and sway, can be a hindrance on creativity and just how far you can go. There's a reason their animated shows all feel the same and all work the same and even have the same damn openings. I don't want to blame that all on Loeb either, but he bares some of the blame

Overall its amazing whats being done and I dont think any other company could have pulled it off.

Creating a cinematic universe and expanding it while having it all connect to one another is really huge and something that I'd say star wars is the only other flim that has really come close to doing or LOTR.

Each movie itself though...meh there kind of just like chapters in a book, some are great most are just a means to a end.

Cap 2 and The Avengers are the only real stand out marvel movies. I love em all outside of cap 1...

DC runs the animated market when it come to comic books:whoa: but lets looks at Marvels
Ultimate Avengers
Ultimate Avengers 2

The Invincible Iron Man
Doctor Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme
Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow
Hulk Vs
Planet Hulk
Thor: Tales of Asgard

beside Thor they were all good they could use more grittiness tho :ld:

The Hulk Vs. was pretty gritty, at least during the vs. Wolverine joint. Cats was getting limbs dismembered, a decent amount of bloodshed, some cussing and dirty jokes (courtesy to Deadpool). Def. one of my favs. and I really liked the Avengers joints too, tho for some reason, I can't ever remember much of the Black Panther orientated sequel one for some damn reason.
