Yep. GamePass is the money maker.

Consoles usually lose money on each sale until you hit a "break even" point in the middle of the console life.

My hunch is that Sony tries to produce as many consoles as possible to get a high user base and because they know it'll fly off the shelves.....Microsoft knows that if they produce too many, there will be a shyt ton sitting on shelves. Better to limit supply just on the optics alone.

They still gotta sell consoles for that. The majority of gamepass subscribers are through the console.

Thats why i laugh when stans try and claim console sales aren’t important. They damn sure are. Pc players ain’t leaving steam
Series S exists for a reason

We have to assume sony has infiltrated retail and are paying store employees not to put them on shelves.
