They are the oldest team in the league wit no flexiblity to make moves and get better and are capped out as at best a mid tier playoff team for the foreseeable future and thats if everything works out

Jeremy Lin is no longer regarded as a phenomenon around these parts. He’s more like the forgotten point guard, which is exactly how MSG chairman James Dolan wants it.
“I’m not going to discuss Jeremy Lin,” Mike Woodson said Monday in Greenburgh as the Knicks officially began life without the Harvard point guard.
Dolan elected not to match the $25 million offer sheet Lin received from the Houston Rockets in July and Monday marked the first time the Knicks had addressed Lin’s stunning departure. More precisely, they did their best to avoid discussing Lin.

Dolan reaps what he sows. As far as the Knicks, they may have talented players, but I don't think the press feels they're all that likable. Lin was the Knick the press fukked with the most (for the most part; this cooled once he got hurt), and now he's gone. Sheed's gonna be a great sound byte, but other than Camby, Kurt Thomas and maybe Novak and Shump, the press isn't too fond of that team.
