I always found her attractive. Also once she crossed over to the sunken place, she was dead to me. I remember defending her when I was in the Marines when the white dudes be trying to get off their racist troupes towards her. In fact all the brothers did for decades white men sat on national TV and called her unattractive

This shouldn't matter but it does because myself and a lot of black men of my age were always defending her. It truly did have a tinge of betrayal to it. Then the narrative switch to blaming black men for here self hate is nasty work.
