Non-threatening Black dancing/happy/smiling and outside of conventional attractive standards so they’re not looked at as a factor in the commercial is a well-trodden trope and not new.

Heavy sassy sisters have long been the face of the cool ass best friend trope. Slim white female protagonist has to have sassy hefty black woman friend. Why? I don’t know. Like a new age twist on the mammy. Black sassy best friend is the one to cheer up white female protagonist and to help Becky get her groove back after Chad plays her. The sassy fat black girl is used as the “help” in a twisted way. Mammy with a hint of magical negro.
