I know the consensus and cool thing to do on the internet is hate and bash everything DCEU related and call it a failure.

Yet since MOS dropped, almost every month or 2 a new DCEU thread is made. whether its in praise or jest, this universe has been talked about continually more than any other shared universe.

Posters will say, ''we only make threads to troll and show how trash the DCEU is''

well - as on the internet the FoxCU is also trash, but rarely any thread except for the official movie ones are ever made.

My Theory...

The DCEU is a Benihanas type food, we see the chef put in effort to make it, no 2 meals are ever the same, and even when the Chef makes something you dont like, you appreciate the effort and ambience.

Risks are taken, whether the execution is perfect or not, it stands out and because of that, there is ALWAYS something to discuss.

The MCU is to me McDonalds, were here first, have perfected a formula that pleases everyone, no risks are taken, its always safe and digestible. the problem with that is, once you leave McDonalds thats is, you continue and nothing remains. once in a while they bring in a special that resonates with you always (Winter Soldier) but as a whole the fast food jawn never changes.

There problem with that is redundancy, although you cant fault them because their tried safe formula works, there's nothing that stands out from the crowd ever.

and to me thats where the DCEU shines and will always shine. now with the removal of Zack i dont know what direction they're heading or how this will affect the chefs work but time will tell if they want a fast food jawn too..

MOS will ALWAYS be talked about till the dying day of this world. apart from Iron Man 1 because thats where it all started, i dont see any other film talked about like that.

what do you think ??

and please for you hearing imparied sub humans, this aint even a hating thread, its my opinon. so please discuss, cause im not responding to you clowns who reply with gifs and think thats ''cool''..

DCEU films leave a longer lasting impression and theirs things to actually unpack and discuss. They're layered films that can be interpreted in many ways. MOS and BVS anyway.

Theirs nothing to discuss about ant man or the thor films etc They're straight forward microwave food films.

Wether you loved or hated MOS or BVS they were far more interesting to discuss.

If JL makes around 900 Million after 5 films the DCEU will have made around 4 billion.

After 5 films the MCU made around 2 billion.

:hubie:

If something is uniformly hated or uniformly loved their really isn't that much to discuss. Polarizing subjects are going to result in much more heated discussion because you have two very different perspectives clashing.

It isn't. Most of the extra threads are because DCEU has a lot of controversy because the films haven't been well received and the rest are stans

This. Even if you dislike the films - which a lot of people do - there's still a lot to discuss. People are STILL releasing video and prose essays dissecting BvS, either discussing everything it does wrong and why it sucks or defending it in its aims and what it gets right. There's just more going on there, and it elicits a stronger response.

Now, that's not to say Marvel films don't get discussed. But with them, most of the discussion happens on the front-end before the film is released then during the first two weeks or so after it comes out. It's about people getting hyped to see the new characters or wondering how things will tie into the next Avengers movie. However, once that front end hype dies down, the films just kind of fade out of public consciousness after people have seen them and decided "Yup. S'cool."

That's not a knock on Marvel's films at all. That's what happens with most movies, especially big blockbuster types. With Marvel, it's the universe as a whole that stays in the public's mind, rather than any individual movie.

my thoughts exactly. no individual film minus WS stands out, but as a uniformed project, its there in the publics mass because they have an end goal.

i dont see Ant Man or Strange doing this well as solos outside of the MCU, thats why their movies always works, theres a connected thread and because of the end goal the public is subconsciously enamoured by the film and once its over thats it

x men films are never well received and im yet to see a thread being made for the films ?? no one cares to discuss them

so your logic cant apply here bruh..

majority of the DCEU threads aren't by stans tho, for every 5 threads made, 1 or 2 are by stans the rest are from others

Also, with Fox....I mean, that's just The X-Men. Not much to discuss when we kind of know what to expect. They are starting to experiment more, branching out in R rated flicks and horror films. But as far as the mainline X films go...I mean, they're trying Dark Phoenix again. That's neat. Would be more excited if they hadn't dropped the ball on Age of Apocalypse.

The Xmen films ARE well received only X3 and apocalypse were bad and they didn't have constant rumors of actors dropping roles and directors being fired or having someone else take over the entire cinematic universe so my logic definitely applies here bruh. And a shyt ton of DCEU threads are made by malta alone the other portion is movie threads. No one is making DCEU threads like that other than in your head.
