Hell when you look at Distant Relatives Nas himself said that album came about when he was facing alot of inner turmoil and hanging around Damien Marley was therapeutic for him. It wasn’t something he initially planned or thought out, it happened organically

if Nas was to do another joint album it would have to just happen, it wouldn’t be a planned thing. The joint with Ye was pieces together, Kanye our the beats down afterwards from what I’ve read. That’s why the flow is weird.
