Why is Shakur Stevenson older than Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia, and Teofimo Lopez, but draining himself

lol nah i dont fw ryan garcia. but lets use for example. everybody shyts on him because he drains himself down to 135. It's very likely he's 150+ on fight night. But he drains down so he can fight midets.

shakur and ryan garcia are the same give or take. Shakur is OLDER than ryan, has MORE olympic pedigree by far (olympic silver medalist), yet he's not just draining himself to 135, he's draining himself to 130. the fact he even picked up a vacant belt at 126 while his contemporaries are at 135 is insane to me.

Shakur seems tall but doesn’t seem big much bigger to me. Ill pay more attention next time I see him near a 130 fighter. Garcia never came off as a bigger guy to me either.

He's 5'7 which isn't particularly tall but he's solid built. Here's a pic of him with Regis Prograis, a 140 lber who struggles to make weight and should probably be at 147
