Paddington is originally from Peru, and he had to flee to the UK because of an “earthquake” i.e. it was getting too hot in them Peruvian streets.

Why do you think he always has that suitcase :sas1:

I can see this thread going to the way of that classic 'Dora The Explorer' thread from a few years ago.

Holy shyt. This is a near-perfect reimagining of Chaplin's "Little Tramp." Effortlessly charming and hugely entertaining. Highly recommended.
My wife and I haven't been able to stop talking about it for the past week. We might go see it again.

I saw it this past Wednesday. The first one was the first movie I actually took my now 5 year old to in an actual theater. So it was kind of a full circle thing, though we decided not to bring his Build-A-Bear Paddington with this time.

It was Good overall, the beginning I wasn't completely into as our "waitress" at the dine-in AMC we were at kept messing up our damn order. As par the course with kids movie sequels they reenacted certain shyt they did in the first. I actually liked...

["the train sequence in the third act, and while the drowning scene was basically the equivalent of the fire scene from the first (nice uses of the elements assisting in peril), the scene with Mrs. Brown and Paddington locking eyes in the water was ill. Like, if those convicts hadn't swooped in when they did that would've been real fukked up."]

I'm definitely going to see it again. Hugh Grant jumping from Shakespeare to Oliver to William Wallace is such a treat, too.
It truly deserves better at the box office. But Jumanji having these all-time legs killed it (:mindblown:)

Dope movie took the kids to see it.

Very diverse cast.

Dude who was the villain can’t remember his name at the moment but he was DOPE!
