Why is nobody talking about how hard Harden is carrying the Clippers this season?

He is playing good basketball an all time great player without curry having those super teams with KD and four all stars he would have at least one or two rings.

Breh folks actin like he just losing to bum ass teams in his prime

67 Win warriors
73 Win Warriors
Warriors with KD (2x)
Spurs

Was he supposed to turn into Wilt or some shyt? :gucci: I’ll even admit he had bad games but folks actin like he was a 1 seed losing to an 8 seed and he was putting up like 5 PPG

His playoff career averages are almost identical to his regular season averages he just plays better teams.

All facts bro without that warriors super team with four all stars , two top 5 players in the league he would have at least one championship. Swap prime harden in either curry place or KD place and that warriors team still beat everyone

He’s an all time bad big game performer across every sport. That’s the issue. Every big game where the series hangs in the balance, he no shows. Career averages aren’t necessarily gonna show how many big games he came up small in. If he comes up big in even a few of these games he’s got 2-3 rings.

2-10 in back to back finals games vs Miami that came down to the final 15 seconds and the thunder lost both games. 7-22 with a bunch of turnovers when facing elimination vs the thunder with Russ out hurt. His entire 2014 first round vs Portland. 5-20 vs the clippers in game 6 and benched for the entire 4th quarter when facing elimination and then 7-22 with a ton of turnovers in game 7. Turnover to lose game 2 vs golden state and then going 3-16 in a 35 point loss in game 3 to fall behind 0-3 and then 2-11 with 12 turnovers and 5 fouls in a 30+ point loss to get knocked out. Inefficient and turnover prone in a 2016 first round loss to the warriors even with curry getting hurt early in the series. Remember him getting blocked at the buzzer by a 40 year old Manu Ginobili to lose game 5 of the semis and then going 2-11 with 5 turnovers, getting targeted all game on defense, and fouling out in a near 40 point loss in game 6 to a spurs team with Leonard out with an ankle sprain? How about his going 7-22 in games 4 and 5 of the 2018 semis while Chris Paul went nuts? He went 5-21 in game 5 of the western finals in 2018 and the rockets still won that game. How about game 6 vs golden state where they jumped out to a 39-22 lead after 1 quarter and then scored 22, 16, and 9 points over the next 3 quarters? They were down 7 going into the 4th and he put up 0 points and 1 assist to 2 turnovers in that quarter. He was right in the middle of that 0-27 from deep skid in game 7 as well, going 2-13 from deep in that game.

Outside of his game 5 vs San Antonio in 2012 I think his games 1 and 5 vs Boston in 2023 with Philadelphia are his only big time playoff games past the first round where his team wasn’t essentially left for dead and in a 3-1 or 3-0 hole and he went and ruined those games with bad games 2-3 and then games 6-7. I legit can’t name a signature playoff game for him in a good way. Can’t name a single time as the lead guy he put the team on his back and put on a master class type showing where he led his team to a big win to take the series lead or to close out a series.

It definitely applies to Harden considering his previous notable playoff flameouts.

It applies to pretty much everyone except rookies and sophomores that haven't made the playoffs yet. Which is why I never bought the play less games so they are more meaningful argument. Because unless it's a handful of young players it really doesn't matter how you would perform in those games anyway :pachaha:

 do it in the playoffs

tbf, in 2017 the Spurs lost Kawhi and Tony Parker and he choked and couldnt force game 7
in 2019, KD went down and they still lost both games and didnt force game 7

2020 he went up againt Bron and AD - fair, he shouldnt have won
2021 he got hurt 10 seconds into the series
2022 he choked. Didnt take a shot for the entire second half in an elimination game against the Heat. He gave up mid-game
2023 another choke. Up 3-2 against boston and blew it. Choked again game 7. He put up 9pts in 41 mins. PJ Tucker outscored him

Harden's had his chances. He just choked a lot. Even in 2018, his numbers were underwhelming in that Conference Finals against the warriors. 41%FG/ 24%3P

Hopefully he can get a ring, but lets not act like Harden aint squander his chances.

Harden is the system.
Greatest treadmill team leader I’ve ever seen.
