What I think I currently have. This is the worst cold/flu I’ve ever had. This is day 5 I’ve had temps hit 103, aches and chills, cough, and just overall fkn miserable :snoop:

My co-worker (remote) was sick over the weekend too. He said he didn't feel that bad since covid.
Even had to take today off.

As of now it's not something to really discuss that much unless you're a farmer near livestock. Those are the individuals who are getting sick with the disease. Also, the bird flu has a mortality rate of 50% in humans who catch it. I would imagine if it mutates to spread from human to human the death rate would drop significantly, but it would still be a huge concern. The country would have to shut down until a vaccine is able to be produced in mass. The good thing is, they already have a vaccine created for it.

If you had the bird flu you'd literally be on your death bed. You probably have norovirus or the "regular" flu.

I had something similar to this 3 weeks ago, whatever it was it tested negative for Covid. A lot of people around here got pneumonia from it too. Don't think it was bird flu though

Yea, I do see that norovirus has been going around as well. Crazy. I wonder if my job would stop the hybrid and go to fully wfh/remote work
Man if bird flu mutated that allowed the transfer from human to human, I think work would be the last thing on people’s mind. We would have a global shut down more strict than the Covid lockdown with how deadly the bird flu is. It would be a much shorter lock down though just due to us already having the capability to mass produce bird flue vaccines.
