Why is it so hard to have same day digital releases?

Or you can just wait breh and stop crying. I'm ready to see The Batman, but I'm willing to wait until April 25th to watch it in my home theater.

Another big con is piracy. If a movie is available to be streamed even for $, a pirate will pay, record it and make it free for thousands of people. That's not what the studios are looking for.
I think piracy is extremely overrated. Streaming services grow by the day and all their content is online instantly. Most people are computer illiterate and want to pay for the convenience.

Most stuff is disposable, but the highly anticipated stuff piracy definitely has an effect. Think super hero stuff, high concept action movies, Pixar stuff, very popular streaming shows.
And really there is a ceiling to subscription growth. I believe Netflix is about there everyone interested in subscribing has, that's why they now cracking down on account sharing to increased the bottom line.

This.

And I don't care what mufukkaz think, but home will never be a replication of the theater experience.

It is. Us older Millennials know what were doing but i think the generations above and below us do not. And gen z is lazy.

NY I can tell you every Black and Latino is up on piracy/getting an illegal box or connection. It is extremely common. Even if they are not doing it they know about it. Maybe 5% know the technical pirate/installing part but it is a hustle they extend to everyone else.
